Highland First to Serve Scottish Discount Online
May 20, 2006

Highland Airways' exclusive site allows ADS card holders to privately sign in to discounted fares.

New Discount Scheme Benefits Highland Airways Passengers

Scottish passengers happy with the launch last Thursday of a government-sponsored air discount scheme may be dismayed to find the low fares difficult to book...unless they are flying with Scotland's airline, Highland Airways.

Highland is the first to provide online booking of government-subsidized fares to eligible passengers. The other airlines participating in the Scottish Executive Air Discount Scheme (ADS), British Airways, Eastern Airways and BMI, have yet to provide a facility.

Highland Airways' exclusive site allows ADS card holders to privately sign in to booking pages which automatically apply the discounted fares. The site was launched soon after Highland, which has been serving Scottish passengers for 15 years, switched from manual to fully automated reservations and revenue management using the AirKiosk system.
